Pro-tip: How to use the Interaction Checker
Tuesday November 27th, 2018
Have you ever wonder what could happen if you take two or more meds at the same time? Most of the time, nothing out of the ordinary – but certain medications shouldn’t be taken together. What’s called a ‘drug to drug interaction’ can occur when two meds are taken together that shouldn’t be.
The Interaction Checker is a tool that allows you to verify how meds interact with each other. Since its launch, it has alerted Medisafe users to almost 100,000 interactions. You can compare the meds in your pillbox or new ones you haven’t added yet!
The feature is only available on iOS devices in the US right now, but take a look at how it works:
- Tap ‘More’
- Tap ‘Interactions Checker’
- Type the med you want to verify
- Or choose from your Med Cabinet
- Tap to compare your medications
- Verify the interactions
- Tap ‘Done’ to go back the main menu
