Follow along and see what they&#8217;re up to and let us know who you think we should add to the list!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/MyelomaTeacher\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Myeloma Teacher <\/span><\/a><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A self described advocate, ambassador and mentor, Cynthia Chmielewki was diagnosed with multiple myeloma in 2008 after experiencing two years of debilitating back pain. Several treatments later, including a stem cell transplant which failed to put her into remission, she received a novel therapy which put her in a good partial remission. Cynthia is on the Board of Directors for Philadelphia Multiple Myeloma Support where she\u2019s in charge of Patient Education. <\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><a href=\"https:\/\/www.themmrf.org\/mmrf-featured-supporters\/jack-aiello\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Jack Aiello<\/span><\/a><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Jack was diagnosed with Myeloma in 1995 and was forced to go on disability in 2002. He started volunteering with various Myeloma organizations, and became a Myeloma Mentor with the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation. He found his niche in research advocacy, having participated in two clinical trials, he was excited and encouraged by the opportunity to convey novel research results to the myeloma community through his support groups and initiatives. <\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><a href=\"https:\/\/www.myelomacrowd.org\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Jenny Ahlstrom<\/span><\/a><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Founder of Myeloma Crowd, Jenny finished receiving treatment in 2012 and realized that she was ready to get involved in the advocacy space. She learned that only 3% of myeloma patients join clinical trials and she believed that research could be accelerated if more myeloma patients joined. <\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><a href=\"https:\/\/kimconnects.com\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Kimberly Alexander<\/span><\/a><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">After the death of her late husband, NFL linebacker Elijah Alexander in 2010, Kimberly founder herself moved to advocacy. She established KimCONNECTS and started advocating for more awareness of Multiple Myeloma in the African American community. Kimberly narrated an award winning health video called <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=DgJDwlXlKU0\">Multiple Myeloma in the African American Community<\/a>. <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">She currently sits on the board of trustees for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of North Texas and has chaired several successful fundraising events. Kimberly is also a member of Standing in the Gaap, a Celgene initiative to support African Americans living with multiple myeloma. <\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><a href=\"https:\/\/faculty.mdanderson.org\/profiles\/robert_orlowski.html\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Robert Z. Orlowski, MD, PhD<\/span><\/a><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Dr Orlowski is, among many accolades, the Department Chair of Myeloma and Professor of Medicine in the Departments of Lymphoma\/Myeloma and Experimental Therapeutics at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. He works extensively on novel clinical trials for patients with hematological (blood) malignancies.
